H1-B  SKILLS ADVANCEMENT FOR THE BLUEGRASS

Skills Advancement for the Bluegrass will serve Kentucky’s two largest cities and metropolitan areas of Louisville and Lexington. The lead applicant is the Bluegrass Workforce Investment Board (BGWIB). Primary partners are the workforce investment agencies, economic development authorities, and community colleges that serve these areas; joined with employers of workers in the fields of information technology and health information technology. Skills Advancement for the Bluegrass builds upon the Bluegrass Economic Advancement Movement, a regional economic initiative recently announced by the mayors of Louisville and Lexington which recognizes the critical importance of high technology industries and mobilizes regional efforts to support them.
