Mobile Job Centers

The Mobile Job Center (MJC) is a customized recreational vehicle, outfitted with state-of-the-art mobile technology, including:

Satellite-based internet service
10 student computer stations & 1 teaching computer station
Interior plasma screen teaching board
VHS/DVD players
Side-mounted exterior plasma screen for outdoor events
WiFi network hub
Wheel chair lift & handicapped-accessible workstation
Private interviewing space

The vehicle, staffed by the Bluegrass WIB, was designed with the needs of WIA service delivery in mind, primarily Rapid Response services for plant closures across the Bluegrass. However, the vehicle can be used by private industry for use in applicant assessment, hiring, incumbent worker training, and any other approved uses.

The unit is ideally equipped for a classroom or workshop environment and is available to the businesses and agencies of the Bluegrass region for workforce development purposes.
